Welcome to Sweat Shalom - Steel Mace Vinyasa Classes. Where we build our inner and outer strength, while balancing our masculine and feminine energies. You have permission to show up just as you are, and you will leave each class feeling empowered!
Here's what to expect
Each class consists of 3 components
We warm up our bodies with intention and purpose. We prime our nervous system and muscles to prepare to wield the steel mace with confidence and proper form. Some Vinyasa Yoga poses are included in each warm up, and is a great way to get a taste of yoga!
Expect to learn several strength and conditioning exercises with a lightweight (5-7lbs) steel mace. These exercises are designed to tap into your inner warrior. Each class is designed to strengthen your core, improve grip strength and arm endurance, and get your heart rate up. Your legs and lower body will develop muscular strength, endurance, balance, and mobility.
This is where the magic happens! The Flow section seamlessly combines the steel mace conditioning exercises with yoga movements. You will experience the powerful activation of your muscles in "loaded asanas" (yoga postures with the weight of the steel mace). You may also tap into flow state mentally - where time may speed up or slow down as your body glides through each movement.
